About Stubby Bob
Stubby Bob is a 2002 RAM 2500 truck with a 5.9 Cummins turbo diesel motor, and while that’s still the same as when it rolled off the assembly line very little else is. In it’s first life it was a regular pickup, but now it’s an 8″ lifted recovery monster with a long arm kit and a flatbed as well as a boatload of other upgrades.

Kellie is a true expert in his profession. I got my truck stuck on a terrible, mountainous forest road above Payson. As I continued my journey on foot to the highway, I saw area after area that I thought would be impassable to anything larger than a quad or smaller than a tank.
Once in Payson, I spoke to two other recovery companies that turned me down cold. One guy said he had been on that road a year before and he was never going back.
I submitted a request for service on off-roadrecovery.com and in a short while Kellie contacted me to see if we were safe and if we still needed his help. I did my best to paint a grim picture of what the road looked like, but he never batted and eye. He assured me that he could get my truck back. As it was already Saturday afternoon, I told him it was not something that needed to be done right away and that he could leave it until the next week. His response – “oh, I’ll go get it tonight”.
Nine hours later, he texted me to tell me he had my truck back in Mesa and in a little bit he would bring it to me. I’m still astounded he accomplished this, but to him it was just another day at work.
Kellie has the tools and know-how to take care of any problem you could throw at him. I honestly thought I had lost my truck forever and a few hours later it was parked in front of my house. He’s capable, dependable, and his rates are extremely reasonable. I may be cured of off roading in my two wheel drive truck, but if I ever get stuck again, he’s the first guy I will call. I highly recommend KDWR.
Kelly and his team are awesome and I can’t express my gratitude enough. My SXS broke down in a remote area of Box Canyon in Wickenburg over Labor Day weekend. I called several places but none could offer any help, and if so not for a few days because of the holiday. I called Off-Road Recovery, spoke with Kelly and explaining the situation. He said we’ll go out TODAY and get it recovered. After arriving to the site where my SXS was, there were two other vehicles stuck in mud. He recovered my vehicle on the trailer and winched the other two out.
Kelly really cares about your vehicle and property and gives 110% effort in recovery and knows exactly what to do. I ended plugging him into my phone contacts as my go-to towing if ever needed. He’s reliable, dependable and hands-down the best out there. He’s dead serious about anywhere, anytime… he’s got the vehicles and expertise to recover wherever you are!
